Frequently asked questions in wedding photography
How many images do we get?
I don’t put a limit on how many images I deliver but on average I deliver around 800-2,000 image-wise for a full day.
Can I print my images?
Absolutely! I love it when my couples print their images! You can print your images directly through the online gallery!
How long after the wedding until we get our images?
Turnaround time is usually 4-6 weeks. I always send a preview of around 10-30 images within 2 days of the wedding.
Can I post on social media?
Absolutely! The only thing I ask is that you don’t put any filters on top of the images, I hope you can understand this. Also, I’d love it if you could tag my page too. Not essential but I really appreciate it!

Can we give you a shot list?
I find it’s best to capture the day naturally as it happens rather than referring to a shot list. However, when it comes to capturing the family group shots, we will put together a list to make sure we don’t miss anything!
Will you visit our venue before the day?
I find this isn’t usually necessary for scouting locations as it’s all dependent on the available lighting on the day. But don’t worry, I’ll get to your venue nice and early and seek out all the best spots to capture your wonderful portraits!
How to secure a booking with you?
As soon as the venue is booked, a down payment of £150.00 is required to secure your booking after the wedding meet & greet call on Zoom.
Do you have payment plans?
Yes, to suit all needs and budgets, all you need to do is ask.
When is the final balance due?
This is due 1 month prior to the wedding. I’ll send a friendly reminder to you.
Do you support blue light discount card?
Yes, for all couples working the front line, there is a 5% discount on all photography investments. Please note this deal does not extend to family members and you cannot combine deals.
How can we use our images?
As you like, we photographers like to see couples printing their images, posting online, and submitting to wedding magazines, the only thing I would love is a tag or mention to help the business grow.
What happens if you can’t make it?
If something crazy were to happen out of my control (an act of god, illness, death, etc) and I sadly can’t make it, I would do my absolute best to help find a suitable replacement photographer to take my place on the day. Also if pregnancy news happens or other life-changing events, I will make contact very far in advance and offer your refund back with wedding photographer links available on the day to take on the booking.
Do you have backup equipment?
Of course!! I shoot with 2 camera bodies and various lenses as well as shooting onto 2 memory cards at the same time. So if anything was to happen, don’t worry I’ve got it all covered so you don’t need to worry.
Are you insured?
Yes! I’m fully insured with professional business insurance and public liability insurance.
Do we need to feed you?
Yes, please! The best time for me to have a quick break and have something to eat is while everyone else is having their meal (people don’t tend to like being photographed when they’re eating!!)
Can I purchase an album anytime?
Yes of course! You can purchase an album at any time, that includes parent albums. A lot of my clients order their albums for Christmas or on their first anniversary.
Can we have the raw image files?
No, due to Copyright, and you’re paying for a service that includes editing in my signature style.
What is Copyright?
Every single photo a photographer takes is owned by them. If you take a photo on your phone, then you own the photo. Simple. Photographers can share their photos anywhere they want. They can alter the photo, crop the photo, edit the photo, etc. The client – can. not.
A client cannot alter a photo or print a photo without a photographer’s permission. This is one reason we have contracts & print releases.
Major issues with clients using photos professional photographers have taken to enter them in contests to win money. Clients cannot use the photographer’s photos to make money.
I do not use watermarks on my images, because I do not like the look of a photo with my logo.
If a client asks me not to share photos of their children, family, them, etc, I respect that. I also ask every single client if I can share their photos, even though my contract states that I can – out of kindness. Photographers share photos publicly to gain traction & clients. We have to.
Please respect your photographers. Do not alter their photos. You pay to get your photo taken by them. You are NOT buying the photos. You do not own them. You get permission to use them. It sounds weird I’m sure, but just compare it to a painter that has painted you something. You’re not allowed to paint over it, enter it into a contest, or even say you painted it.
