Take a step back in history with the restored 400-year-old barn decorated with fairy lights in Cambridgeshire. The Manor Barn is a working farm, and the space dedicated to weddings is breathtaking, especially inside the barn and the glorious courtyard that has so much to offer.

From All Corners of the World to The Manor Barn: A&M’s Wedding Day

The wedding venue offers a luxurious honeymoon suite for the bride or groom to get ready, with additional guest accommodation available.

For this particular wedding, the bride got ready off-site with her bridesmaids and parents, enjoying a relaxed morning of bubbly, laughter, gifts, and pampering before heading to the venue. Meanwhile, the groom and wedding party prepared on-site, greeting guests and enjoying a cheeky pint with one of my second shooters.

CIVIL WEDDING CEREMONY AT THE MANOR BARN CAMBRIDGE

Licensed for civil ceremonies, giving you the choice to marry indoors or outside in the charming new courtyard. If you prefer a religious service, there’s a church just down the road, with your celebration continuing at the venue.

For A&M’s wedding, the ceremony was held indoors, with flowers lining the aisle, guests seated on wooden benches, and neon lights hanging from the high ceiling to highlight the wooden backdrop and floral arch. It was a truly memorable ceremony.

Weddings taking place at The Manor Barn Cambridge are flexible with your wedding breakfast and reception—whether you envision food trucks and beer on tap or a more elegant setup with champagne and canapés, they’ve got you covered. This time is also perfect for formal family photos, fun wedding party shots, and candid moments before heading off for couple portraits.

The featured wedding was dry weather which was a bonus. We captured photos outside and in the charming courtyard, while guests enjoyed bubbles, delicious canapés, lawn games, and the cozy firepit—laughing and mingling indoors and out.

WEDDING FOOD

As farmers, the owners take pride in their food, championing local growers and seasonal produce. Their in-house chef is happy to tailor the menu to your wedding wishes. My favourite feature of the barn is the cocktail bar.

This wedding, guests greeted the couple with a joyful cheer and waved napkins in celebration. The couple then did a fun table photo dash—an energetic way to capture everyone without formal portraits.

The evening continued with heartfelt and humorous speeches, a delicious wedding breakfast, flowing bubbles, and the cake cutting beneath the fairy-lit barn, before dancing kicked off with a live band.
