The Chapel
The Magdalene College Chapel is smaller and more intimate than many College chapels.
The Chapel is at the heart of the College. All are welcome to this beautiful place, now in its 55th decade, to sit and pray, or just to seek some quiet amid its peace.
The Chapel is a living place that brings the College community together in reflection and offers Christian worship and prayer open to all. Chapel services and events offer space for belonging, beauty, enquiry and growth and are inclusive, and open to all of any faith or perspective.
Civil Ceremonies
The Chapel pews will comfortably seat around seventy people. With additional seating, more can be accommodated.
The Pepys Cloisters are situated under the stunning Pepys building, seating up to 150 people.
Benson Hall at one time the Masters Drawing room, can be used for a civil ceremony, it has an attractive minstrels Gallery at one end, seating up to 70 people.
Ramsay Hall is decorated with pinewood panelling, it is situated close to the River Cam, it can be used for a civil ceremony, seating up to 100 people.
Reception areas
The Pepys Cloister is under the stunning Pepys building and can be used for a Civil Ceremony, a Champagne reception and photographs or greet your guests with a glass of bubbly and mouth-watering canapes along the river cam with options to hire punts exploring the rich history with your favourite people taking in the city atmosphere at the back of the college in your private grass area.
Wedding Breakfast / Reception
Have your speeches and make some forever memories with the people that you love in the hall, the Parlour or Ramsey hall in a formal candle-lit dinner style surrounded by art, history and extraordinary architecture.
